Obsession Nandina is a dense, compact upright grower that provides rich red new foliage that matures to green. It's an improved selection of Gulf Stream nandina. Immature leaves will appear to be red, only to turn green once mature. This Southern Living plant fits best in the landscape as a mass planting or accent. When planting nandina, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil. Afterwards, leave the top of the root ball 1/2" above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow-release granular fertilizer in spring with this Obsession Nandina.
