Centipede is a warm season turf grass with a natural medium to light green color. The slow vertical growth of Centipede means less mowing and lower maintenance. Its thick lateral growth crowds out most weeds and it requires very little fertilization. Centipede also adapts well to sandy, acidic soils. This product is sold in 2- 18 pack trays of grass plugs in a box (36 plugs in total). Sod Trays are great for filling bad patches in your lawn and installing a small amount of grass (~64 SQ Ft.) on your land. Planting is easy. Using a hand trowel, dig a hole every 15", place a plug in the hole with the bottom of the grass head flush with existing topsoil, backfill with topsoil, water the pled area and you're done. Your new plugs will start to establish themselves in 1 to 2 weeks.
